If you are a first timer planning for a vacation to another country, you might be worried about what you would need to bring for the holidays. Today, I hope this article will be of use to you and your packing queries.
1. A tough and sturdy luggage suitcase
First on the list would be the all essential suitcase. Without it, you would not be able to pack all your clothes in. You would need to plan whether you need a large suitcase, or a small one which normally depends on the amount of days that you might be away on. You would also need to plan at least a few weeks before hand on what to bring on the trip. Is a shaver necessary? Are pens really something that the hotel doesn't have? Planning ahead can help eliminate space constraints most travellers have. If you are a lady, it might be prudent to select a lightweight suitcase as your luggage might prove to be hard to carry.
Another aspect of the suitcase that needs to be thought out would be whether you need the rollers below them or not. Those rollers would facilitate easy movement but it would not work if you are visiting a monsoon country or a muddy place; the rollers might get stuck and fail. It is also good to take in mind the safety lock that the suitcase has in place. Set and memorize your pass code to the suitcase in case that you lose your luggage in the concierge.
2. Money Pouch and Extra Cash around your Body
Even though your suitcase will host all of your clothes and necessities, there will be a need to carry around a money pouch around you in case you lose your luggage or in case you lose your money that you had in your pocket. Be sure to zip up your money pouch as those elusive thieves can catch unsuspecting tourists unguarded.
Another useful tip is to carry extra cash around your body. Put them inside your shoe that you are wearing or the insides of the jacket that you wear. This is to be sure that even if your money pouch and everything else is stolen from you, you would still have some money with you to tide you over. A good estimate would be at least 15% of what you are bringing to that particular country.
3. Your Documents like Passport and ID
Leaving your house without your passport is a foolish thing to do. Luckily, not many make that erroneous mistake. Before you head out to the airport, Be sure to check that you brought all identification documents necessary to enter and exit that country. It might not be limited to your visas, Passports, insurance papers and other travel documents. It is also easier to contact the embassy of your country in case of any emergencies.
Be sure to photocopy the documents that you had brought with you overseas, as that will certainly ease the pain of losing those important documents.
