Cruising Singapore: Superstar Virgo Pt 3

Planning itineraries can be a tough job even for the most seasoned travellers. However, planning for them are no longer hard for cruisers as most cruises have their fixed schedules and you would just have to adhere to any one of them. This is no exception with Star Cruises, where all their cruises that are cruising Singapore have different places to visit and different sea routes to follow.

Itineraries for Superstar Virgo

Star Cruises released their latest schedule for October 2012 to March 2013. There are 3 different routes provided by them, from a cruise to nowhere to a five nights cruise exploring Malaysia and Thailand.

2 Nights Weekend Cruise From Singapore

Star Cruises' 2 night cruise on weekends will depart on Friday and return on 11:00 am, Sunday. This cruise will be cruising out of Singapore's waters and into international seas where the casino inside of the cruise will be opened for anyone above 18. This cruise is best for anyone who loves to gamble and enjoy the luxuries of a cruise at the same time. Another great aspect is that the cruise falls on a weekend, meaning you would not need to apply any leave to attend.

However, this is not for those who thinks that a cruise would need to have pit stops along the way or those who likes to sightsee. A word of caution though, the 2 nights cruise to nowhere is more expensive than its counterpart, which I would explain more about it on the next post.

2 Nights Malacca Kuala Lumpur Cruise From Singapore

Cruising Singapore to Malaysia has never been easier with Virgo's Wednesday Cruise. Immerse yourself in Malaysian culture with a short cruise from Singapore. This cruise visits both Malacca AND Kuala Lumpur in one short day, staying at the docks of Malacca for 2 hours and Port Klang for another 9 hours.

There are various tours offered by Virgo to alight from the cruise like visiting the central area of Kuala Lumpur or the Chinatown there. If you desire freedom, you can come down independently, with some stalls already set up near the ship selling trinkets and souvenirs.

Unless you are not a gambler, then you might find this cruise a bit of a bore as the casinos will be closed when Virgo is docked on the ports of Malacca and Klang. This is because Malaysia doesn't allow gambling on ships so the only chance that you might have is during the night.

3 Nights Penang & Phuket Cruise From Singapore

Exploring Thailand and the island of Penang have never been easier with the Virgo where its high speed motor will bring you to both Penang and Phuket easily. The glorious sun of Phuket will shine everyday with its exotic tropical landscape and wildlife beauty. Island hopping, elephant rides and temple visits are just some of the things you can do while cruising Phuket.

Penang on the other hand, is an island rich of beaches and has one of the biggest Chinese population in Malaysia, meaning you will experience a ton of Chinese heritage and culture. Their hawker fare and Chendol are also one of the best in the world, too.

5-Nights Penang, Phuket, Malacca &  Kuala Lumpur Cruise

Combining the best of the Kuala Lumpur and Phuket cruises, this 5 nights cruise will offer much in terms of quality and quantity. Sailing for the whole 5 weekdays mean that you can take a long breather from work while experiencing the many cultures of Malaysia and Thailand with excessive shopping and discovering. Cruising Singapore had never been easier with Superstar Virgo and their 5 stars amenities.
